Drying Process

Drying Process Guidelines

  • Small-Scale Drying: 4kg sand per 1.5kg wet larvae, heat to 200°C, mix for 15 minutes
  • Commercial Drying: 100kg sand per 40kg wet larvae, drum dryer at 200°C, finish in greenhouse
  • Sun Drying: 10kg sand per 4kg wet larvae, 4-6 hours in direct sunlight
  • Quality Control: Ensure complete sand removal, check for contaminants, maintain proper ratios
  • Expected Ratio: 3:1 (wet to dried weight)
